Cuticles can become dry and cracked from washing your hands often, being in harsh weather, or not keeping them moisturized. Some salons can make the problem worse by cutting too much or using old tools. This can also cause hangnails, which are when the skin around the nail dries out and splits. Picking at them or cutting them too short can make things worse and even lead to infections.
How We Fix These Problems
We believe healthy cuticles are the foundation of a great manicure. That’s why we start with a warm soak to soften the skin, gently push back the cuticles, and only trim when absolutely necessary. We remove hangnails using clean, sharp tools and finish with a nourishing cuticle oil to moisturize and protect. You’ll leave with smoother skin, fewer snags, and nails that look polished even without color.
